UB Cultivator, the University at Buffalo's early-stage startup support program, has received a significant boost with a $750,000 grant from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation. This funding ensures three more years of operations for the program dedicated to nurturing startup founders in Western New York through mentorships, investments, and other crucial resources.

Since its establishment, UB Cultivator has supported 66 companies, with over 70% of them being founded by women or individuals from diverse backgrounds. The program has made $2.7 million in pre-seed investments across 28 companies, aiming to democratize access to funding opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs in the region. The support from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation plays a pivotal role in the growth of the program, contributing significantly to the economic development of the region.

In addition to this grant, the UB School of Management achieved a remarkable milestone, ranking No. 11 among U.S. business schools for providing a high return on investment for MBA graduates. This recognition underscores the value of a UB MBA in preparing graduates for successful careers while making informed financial decisions.

UB has also announced an exciting lineup of distinguished speakers for the upcoming academic year. Notable personalities such as Jon Meacham, Nadia Murad, Misty Copeland, and Damar Hamlin will be sharing their insights at UB's Center for the Arts. Tickets for these events range from $25 to $55, offering a valuable opportunity for the community to engage with esteemed thought leaders.
